Hello, I'm Paul Newland.  Solvara is the name of my small photographic imaging company. 

I'm based in New Jersey but frequently shoot in Manhattan, photographing for actors, models and fashion designers.  I've probably shot well over 200 runway fashion shows, most of which were Mercedes Benz Fashion Week shows at Lincoln Center (and Bryant Park).  I also freelance assist for several Manhattan based catalog and editorial photographers.   I love working with people in New York because they bring considerable talent and enthusiasm to every photo shoot, as well as high expectations of the people who photograph for them.  And I like meeting, and especially exceeding, high expectations. 

In my little part of suburbia I mostly photograph individuals and those they love, from every days to special days: Portraits, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16s, Special Parties, Life's Milestones, etc.
